Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 cup white karo syrup
1 cup water
3 cups raw peanuts
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup and water. Cook to soft-ball stage (238 degrees). Add peanuts and salt and cook to hard-crack stage (288 degrees); stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla and butter. Add soda; stir vigorously until foamy. Pour at once into greased pan.
