Baked Cinnamon French Toast(Main Dish For Breakfast Or Brunch) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices cinnamon bread, divided
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    9 eggs
    1 quart milk
    2 c. whipping cream
    1 c. sugar
    4 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    warmed blueberry preserves, optional
    whipped cream, optional
Preparation
    Line the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 x 2 baking dish with six slices of bread.
    Butter remaining bread and place butter-side up over bread already in the dish.
    In a mixing bowl, beat eggs.
    Add milk, cream, sugar and vanilla, mix well.
    Pour over bread and let stand for 15 minutes.
    Place the baking dish inside a larger dish and pour boiling water into the larger pan to a depth of 1 inch. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
    Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
    Top with preserves and whipped cream if desired.
