Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour baking pans.
Measure all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat 3 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into pans.
Bake in an oblong pan for 40 to 45 minutes.
Layer pans for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Ice with Peanut Butter Topping.
