Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix sugar and milk, then add Crisco, vanilla, salt and nuts. Boil to soft ball stage (238\u00b0).
Cool without stirring.
When lukewarm, beat until creamy.
Pour into greased pan.
When cold, cut into squares.
