Ingredients

1 Tbsp. fresh grated lemon peel
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice
Preparation

In covered jar, combine lemon peel, sugar and boiling water; cover and shake until sugar dissolves.
Add lemon juice, store tightly covered in refrigerator until ready to use.
Makes 2 2/3 cups syrup base, enough for 8 to 10 servings.
