Ingredients

1 baked pie shell (9-inch)
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. fresh or frozen strawberries, cut in half
dash of salt
1 c. slightly crushed strawberries (fresh or frozen, including juice)
Preparation

Prepare pie shell.
Let cool.
Combine cornstarch, sugar, water and salt; mix well.
Add crushed strawberries; cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add cut strawberries.
Cool; pour in pie shell.
Top with whipped cream.
