Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    yellow cake mix
    2 cans pie filling (any flavor)
    5 or 6 bananas
    2 (20 oz.) cans crushed pineapple, drained
    2 pkg. instant vanilla pudding, mixed according to directions
    1 pkg. coconut
    1 (16 or 20 oz.) large Cool Whip
    1 c. nuts
    1 jar cherries
Preparation
    Bake yellow cake mix according to directions on box.
    Make two layers in order in which ingredients are listed.
    Put cherries and nuts on top.
    (Use a punch bowl because the recipe makes a lot.)
