Pepper Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    2/3 c. water
    3/4 c. chopped celery
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 medium head cabbage
Preparation
    Boil sugar, vinegar and water for 2 minutes.
    Let it cool. Shred cabbage; salt lightly.
    Let stand 1 hour, then squeeze juice from cabbage.
    Add celery, green pepper and celery seed.
    Moisten with cooled vinegar mixture to cover cabbage.
