Chili Con Carne Americano - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 lb. lean pork sausage
    2 tsp. garlic, minced
    1 c. tomato sauce
    2 c. stewed tomatoes, chopped
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper, ground
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    4 c. cooked pinto beans
Preparation
    Use a 12-inch or larger skillet. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook onion, bell pepper, crumbled ground beef, sausage and garlic until meat is lightly brown. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, chili powder, cayenne, salt and beans; stir to blend. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes, covered. Serves 8 to 10.
