Railroad Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup (undiluted)
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. melted bacon drippings
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/4 c. water
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. corn meal
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cook beef and onion in skillet until browned.
    Stir in next 7 ingredients.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Pour into 2 1/2-quart casserole.
