West Virginia Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 egg yolks
    2 1/2 c. canned milk (evaporated)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 to 3/4 c. peanut butter (adjust to taste)
Preparation
    Combine sugar and cornstarch in heavy pan.
    Combine egg yolks and milk and gradually add to dry mixture, stirring well to prevent lumps.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
    Boil for 1 minute.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and peanut butter.
    Cool slightly.
    Then pour into baked pie shell.
