Zucchini Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. white vinegar
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. salt
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. turmeric (ground)
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    5 lb. small zucchini, sliced thin
    1 qt. thinly sliced onions
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over prepared zucchini and onions in large bowl and let stand one hour, stirring occasionally.
    In large saucepan, bring mixture to a boil and simmer 3 minutes.
    Continue simmering as you quickly pack hot sterilized jars.
    Makes sure vinegar solution tops pickles.
    Seal.
    Process 5 minutes.
    Makes 6 to 7 pints.
