Basic Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 c. chopped onions
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 (15 oz.) cans tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3 to 5 Tbsp. chili powder
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
Preparation
    In a 5-quart Dutch oven, brown beef.
    Add onions and garlic. Cook until onions are transparent.
    Add herbs, salt, tomatoes, sauce and chili powder.
    Simmer about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Blend flour and water and add to mixture.
    Stir well and cook 20 minutes.
    Add beans and seasonings.
