English Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 lb. margarine
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 Hershey bars
    chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cook sugar, margarine, water and vanilla in a heavy skillet. Stir constantly until it turns dark in color.
    Pour into buttered pan.
    Place Hershey bars on top.
    Spread chocolate around with spatula.
    Top with sprinkled chopped nuts.
    Let cool.
    Break into pieces.
    Store in a cool place.
