Tutti Fruiti Surprises - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. confectioners sugar
3 Tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cut-up nuts
1 c. cut-up dates
3/4 c. candied fruit
Preparation

Beat eggs until foamy.
Gradually beat in confectioners sugar. Stir in melted shortening.
Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix in nuts, dates and fruit.
Spread in a well-greased 8-inch square pan.
Bake until top has dull crust. Cut into squares while warm; cool and then remove from pan.
