Pavlova - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    1 tsp. cornflour/cornstarch
    1 tsp. vanilla essence
    1 tsp. white vinegar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. water
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until very stiff.
    Add half the sugar.
    Beat well, then add the rest and beat well again.
    Fold in the vanilla and vinegar.
    Fold in cornflour and baking powder, then add the water.
    Keep folding.
    Place mixture on flat, greased tray.
    It is best to have a sheet of greaseproof paper between the mixture and the tray.
    Set oven to 350\u00b0, then turn down to 300\u00b0 when you have put the pavlova into the oven.
    Cook for 40 to 50 minutes.
