Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. corn syrup
    4 egg whites
    1 1/3 c. nuts
Preparation
    Heat sugar, corn syrup and water over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Cook, without stirring, until it reaches 260\u00b0 or until it forms a hard ball.
    In mixer bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Continue beating whites while pouring hot syrup in. Add vanilla and beat until mixture holds shape.
    Fold in nuts. Spoon on wax paper to set.
