Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. dark molasses
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. baking soda
    5 qt. popped corn
    peanuts as desired
Preparation
    Combine sugar, molasses and water in a saucepan and bring to soft ball stage (235\u00b0).
    Remove from heat and add soda.
    Mix popped corn with peanuts and pour sugar mixture over all.
    Stir to coat evenly.
    Yields 5 quarts.
