Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. white Karo syrup
    1 stick butter (not oleo)
    2 (1/2 pt.) cartons whipping cream
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients except 1 of the cartons of whipping cream to a boil and gradually stir in the remaining 1/2 pint whipping cream.
    Cook to hard ball (250\u00b0) stage and pour into greased pan. Let cool; cut into squares and wrap in waxed paper.
