Barbecued Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 chickens (1 1/2 lb. each)
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 bottle Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 c. A.1. sauce
    1/4 c. diluted vinegar
    1 1/2 small bottles ketchup
    1 onion, minced
    pepper and salt
Preparation
    Split chicken in halves.
    Brown in shortening (do not use flour).
    Place chicken in roasting pan.
    Blend remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven about 1 hour or until tender.
