Quiche Lorraine - cooking recipe
Ingredients

pastry for 9-inch 1-crust pie
12 slices bacon, crisply fried
1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1/3 c. finely chopped onion
4 eggs
2 c. half and half
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation

Prepare pastry.
Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pastry-lined pie plate.
Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients.
Pour egg mixture into pie plate.
Cook, uncovered, in 425\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 300\u00b0.
Cook, uncovered, until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 30 minutes longer.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
Yields 6 servings.
