Chocolate-Nut Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    2 c. chunky peanut butter
    2 Tbsp. Parkay margarine
    5 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/2 c. chopped peanuts
Preparation
    In
    a
    3
    quart
    saucepan, combine the sugar and syrup. Cook and
    stir over medium heat for 5 minutes to dissolve the sugar. Remove
    from
    heat;
    blend in the chunky peanut butter and
    the margarine.
    Stir
    in the rice cereal.
    Spread in pan and set aside.
    In a heavy saucepan, melt the chocolate pieces over low heat.
    Spread on top of peanut butter-cereal mixture. Chill for 1 hour or until the topping is firm.
    Cut into bars. Makes 36 bars.
