Basic Frosting For Decorating - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 egg white
    light cream
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    pinch of salt
    food coloring (of choice)
Preparation
    Cream butter until very soft.
    Gradually beat in some of the sugar.
    Add the egg white and salt; mix well.
    Then, slowly add remaining sugar while stirring.
    Thin, if necessary, with cream. Divide into small portions; color each portion as desired.
    This frosting is put through a pastry tube.
