Vanilla Wafer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter (room temperature)
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    12 oz. vanilla wafers, crushed
    1/2 c. milk
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. grated coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. heavy cream, whipped (optional)
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Add the vanilla wafers alternately with the milk. Fold in coconut and pecans.
    Pour into an ungreased tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Serve with dollops of whipped cream.
    Cake may be frozen.
