Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1/4 c. oleo
    1/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. shredded American cheese
    2 1/2 c. milk
    5 c. thinly sliced potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    To make sauce, cook onion in oleo until tender, but not brown. Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk; cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Add cheese.
    Cook 2 more minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Place half of potatoes in greased baking dish.
    Cover with half of the sauce.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake, covered, in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes, stirring once.
    Uncover; bake another 30 minutes or until potatoes are done.
