Butternut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    2 sticks oleo
    2 Tbsp. butternut flavoring
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. Pet milk or 1 c. milk
    5 eggs
Preparation
    Cream shortening, butter and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and water.
    Stir in butternut flavoring.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes (test with toothpick).
    Start in cold oven.
    Leave in pan 20 to 30 minutes before taking out of pan.
