Baked Apple Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 small apples, grated
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. milk
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Mix together egg, milk and grated apple.
Add to flour mixture.
It will be stiff.
Place in greased 12-cup muffin pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Melt 1 stick butter.
Mix 1/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Dip donuts in butter and roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Serve warm.
