Poppy Seed Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 Cup Sugar
    1/3 Cup Lemon Juice
    1 tsp. finely chopped onion (I prefer purple)
    1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 Cup Vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. Poppy Seeds
    1 large head Romaine lettuce torn into bite size pieces
    1 Apple cubed
    1 Pear cubed
    1/2 Cup cashews
    1/3 Cup sweetened dried cranberries (I like craisins)
    2/3 Cup swiss cheese shredded
Preparation
    Combine sugar, lemon juice, chopped onion, dijon mustard& salt in blender.
    Blend for 5 seconds, while still blending open jar lid and pour in the oil slowly and then the poppy seeds.
    You can make this the day before the salad.
    For salad mix all ingredients in large bowl.
    Pour dressing over salad just before serving.
