Surprise Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. miniature marshmallows
    1 (18 oz.) pkg. chocolate or yellow cake mix
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
Preparation
    Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    Sprinkle marshmallows on bottom of pan.
    Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
    Pour batter over marshmallows.
    Combine cherry pie filling and dry gelatin and spread over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
