Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium cucumbers
    1/4 c. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    3 medium onions
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. table salt
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers, onions and salt, in enough water to cover, for 2 hours.
    Drain.
    Cook until tender with vinegar and spices.
    Seal in sterilized bottles.
