Lima Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried lima beans
    1 can (No. 2 1/2) pears, drained (reserve liquid)
    1/4 tsp. onion salt
    1 stick oleo, melted
    6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
Preparation
    Soak lima beans overnight.
    Cook until just tender.
    Place drained pears in buttered 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Cover with drained lima beans.
    Sprinkle with onion salt.
    Pour over enough reserved pear juice to cover. Bake, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Baste every 15 minutes with melted butter.
    Cover with bacon crumbs before serving.
