Chicken Liver Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. chicken livers
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
    3 Tbsp. dark rum (optional)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
    1/4 c. plain yogurt
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. crumbled basil
Preparation
    Cut chicken livers into small pieces.
    Melt butter or margarine with garlic.
    Saute livers until cooked through.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in rum.
    Cool.
    Combine mixture in a blender with cream cheese, yogurt, salt and basil.
    Blend until smooth.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Chill several hours.
    Serve with crackers and/or raw vegetables.
