Cinnamon Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
    1/2 c. apple juice or cider
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. red hot cinnamon candies
Preparation
    Cut apples in chunks.
    Place all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a low setting.
    Simmer 15 minutes or until tender.
    Mash or cool and puree in food processor. Stores well in glass jars in refrigerator.
    Yields approximately 4 cups.
