Cherry Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. maraschino cherry juice
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. nutmeats
    1/2 c. maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Mix dry ingredients together and add alternately with cherry juice. Fold in nuts and cherries.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
