My Old Lemon Pie(Fifty-Five Years Old) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 1/4 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 eggs
1/8 tsp.salt
grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
2 Tbsp. additional sugar in meringue
Preparation

Bring water and sugar to a boil.
Then add cornstarch moistened with water, stirring as you add starch.
Return and cook 3 minutes.
Add egg yolks, salt, lemon juice and rind, stirring at all times.
Cool slightly.
Pour into shell.
Cover with well-beaten meringue and lightly brown in oven.
