Forfar Bridies(Scottish Meat Pies) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground round steak or ground round beef
3 oz. finely ground beef suet
1 minced onion
salt, pepper and sage to taste
pie crust dough (for pastry shells)
Crisco or butter (to brown the beef and onion)
Preparation

Place butter in a skillet to melt.
Add ground beef and onion. Brown until done.
Add seasoning and water to make gravy by adding a little flour or a white sauce with cornstarch.
Make pastry shells and cut into oval shape.
Cover with the meat mixture.
Wet edges of pastry and fold over to make an envelope and crimp edges of pastry with fingers.
Make a slit in top of each bridie.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
