Swedish Baked Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    6 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 c. milk
    5 eggs
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. almond extract or vanilla
Preparation
    Cook rice in salted water until done.
    Blanch and drain. Place rice and 3 cups milk in double boiler. Separate the eggs; beat the yolks well.
    Add sugar, cornstarch and one cup milk.
    Add to the rice and cook until thick. Stir frequently.
    Remove from heat.
    Add the almond flavoring.
    Place in buttered baking dish.
