Black Pepper And Onion Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. butter
    2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. whipping cream
    1 egg
    melted butter
Preparation
    Saute onion in 1/4 cup butter.
    Mix flour, sugar, pepper, baking powder and salt. Add egg, whipping cream and onion just until moistened.
    On floured board, knead dough gently 5 to 6 times.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Press into 8-inch circle, 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut into light wedges.
    Pull apart a little.
    Lightly brush with butter.
    Bake 12 to 16 minutes at 400\u00b0.
