French Toast For A Brunch Or Crowd - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf French bread
    8 large eggs
    4 tsp. sugar
    3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. butter
Preparation
    Slice French bread 1-inch thick.
    Fit into a well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Beat eggs well and add sugar, milk and vanilla.
    Pour over bread.
    Sprinkle nutmeg or cinnamon on top.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
    Remove foil and bake uncovered 45 to 50 minutes (350\u00b0) until puffy and light brown.
    Dab with butter.
