Steam Baked Country Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole country ham
    water to clean and soak ham
    8 to 10 c. water to cook in
    brown sugar to cover ham
Preparation
    Scrub ham in warm water and soak overnight.
    Place in cooking utensil with skin side up.
    Add 8 to 10 cups of water.
    Cover tightly and place in a cold oven.
    Set temperature at 500\u00b0.
    Never open door once ham has been placed in oven.
    Count cooking time when oven reaches 500\u00b0 and cook for 15 minutes.
    Turn off oven and leave for 3 hours.
    Turn oven on again and, after reaching 500\u00b0, allow to cook for another 15 minutes.
    Turn oven off and leave ham in oven for 6 to 8 hours.
    Skin and sprinkle with brown sugar and brown in oven.
