Ingredients

4 c. blackberries
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. water
dash of cinnamon
dash of salt
1/2 c. hot water
cream
Preparation

Wash and pick over berries.
In saucepan, combine berries, sugar, 1/2 cup water, salt and cinnamon; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer until slightly syrupy.
Add 3 tablespoons water to cornstarch to make a paste.
Blend into hot mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and translucent. Serve cool with cream.
