Yellow Squash Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 or 8 yellow squash
    1 medium onion
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
    2 buttons garlic
    1/2 lb. seasoned pork sausage
    1 egg
    cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Scrape and parboil squash about half done.
    Drain in colander while preparing the following.
    Fry sausage in skillet; drain off grease.
    Saute onion in some of the grease.
    Add chopped parsley and garlic; fry a little.
    Add the squash, which has been chopped, and cooked sausage; let fry long enough to absorb the rest of the water.
    Put into a bowl.
    Add egg, salt and pepper to taste and enough cracker crumbs to hold mixture together.
    Put into greased casserole.
    Top with a few cracker crumbs; dot with butter.
    Bake until brown.
