Real Texas Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. chorizo
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce (with tomato bits)
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can small red beans, undrained
    1 (8 oz.) can refried beans
    3 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of sugar
    picante sauce to taste
Preparation
    In 3-quart saucepan, cook chorizo, beef, 1 cup onion and garlic until onion is soft. Spoon off excess fat. Add tomato sauce, red beans, refried beans and seasonings.
    Mix thoroughly. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Stir once or twice.
