Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
1/2 can evaporated milk
1 German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Prepare cake batter according to package directions.
Pour half of the batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
