Company Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon flavored gelatin
3 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
3 bananas, cubed or sliced
1 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped into peaks
grated cheese
Preparation

Dissolve gelatin in the boiling water; cool.
Add the drained pineapple, marshmallows and bananas.
Chill in large glass bowl or pan until firm.
Heat the pineapple juice in top of double boiler. Combine sugar, flour and egg and add to the hot pineapple juice and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Cool, then fold in the whipped cream, stirring just until ingredients are blended. Spread over chilled gelatin mixture and top with grated cheese. Continue chilling until topping is also firm before serving.
