Grandma Salzer'S Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. alum
    2 to 3-inch cucumbers
    dill
Preparation
    Pack cucumbers into quart jars.
    Boil first 4 ingredients. Place dill in top and bottom of each jar.
    Pour hot mixture over cucumbers.
    Add 1/4 teaspoon alum.
    Seal.
