Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. egg whites
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cake flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. rose or almond extract
Preparation
    Sift the sugar to get out lumps.
    Sift the cake flour five times before measuring.
    Beat the egg whites with salt until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar and continue beating until eggs are stiff, but not dry.
    Fold in the sugar and add flavoring.
    Fold in flour, one tablespoon at a time.
    Bake in ungreased angel food pan in very slow oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
