Banana Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. box vanilla wafers
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 (16 oz.) box powdered sugar
    1 (12 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    5 bananas
    3 sticks butter
    1 small tub Cool Whip
    whole cherries
    pecans
Preparation
    Crumble vanilla wafers.
    Melt 2 sticks butter; pour over the crumbs.
    Mix and pour into oblong pan.
    Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 stick butter.
    Spread over crust.
    Drain pineapple and spread over filling.
    Top with sliced bananas.
    Top with Cool Whip. Decorate with cherries and pecans.
    Refrigerate.
