Potato-Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium potatoes, peeled
    1 medium onion, sliced
    4 c. boiling water
    1/3 c. summer sausage, diced
    1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. Parmesan
    1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation
    Cut potatoes into halves.
    Cook with onion in 2 cups boiling water until tender; let stand.
    Mash potatoes.
    Add sausage, spices, sharp cheeses and remaining boiling water.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan just before serving.
