Christmas Scents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (4-inch) sticks cinnamon
    3 bay leaves
    1/4 c. whole cloves
    1/2 lemon, halved
    1/2 c. orange, halved
    1 qt. water
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a tea kettle or saucepan and bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer as long as desired.
    Check often and add additional water if needed.
    May store in refrigerator for several days and be reused.
    Ideal to set on wood heating stoves!
